Hey guys!
I just came back from Anime Overload Festival 2009 today! I was Cloud, as in,casual, sort of...
It was fun, even though I didn't get noticed much.
I just had the Vigilante (main sword) of the First Tsurugi, so the whole thing wasn't exactly done yet. It was pretty small, since we were lacking the right size of foamboard.

SOOOOO....
I got to the con at around 1:30pm, and the line was loooooooooooooong. Like a huge loop around the outside venue. The Ah! My Goddess cosplayers were REALLY popular. Makes me wish I went with a group. But couldn't come, so there.

I went inside, and there were a LOT of people. Despite the size of the venue, the people were too much. So jam-packed, I tell ya.

No one asked for pictures until another Cloud cosplayer came and asked for one. Then more people came, and they shouted, "FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!" I call that epic. So both of us went into a fighting pose and lots of people too pictures. It was fun.

Then a Tifa cosplayer came by.
And more people came by. And took more pictures.
Then I took a pic with a Noctis cosplayer. He asked me where I got my sword done, and I told him I did it myself with my dad. And he said that we wants to cosplay Cloud in the near future. Sweet.

Then I was looking at the stalls. And oh my god, Sugar Free and Blue. That awesome gothic shirt was 895 freaking pesos. DAMN I WANTED THOSE DETACHABLE SLEEVES.

So then me and my dad were kinda hungry, and we were pretty much done with the con. So we went out.
On the escalator, we were just going down, then one of some congoers going up randomly shouted, "Oh, shit! It's Cloud." I just went, "YES, IT IS." The scene was hilarious.

We went to eat at Krispy Kreme. The staff there thought my dear Vigilante was heavy, so one of them asked what material it's made of. It was made of foamboard, to be honest. The rest of the staff were playing with it behind the counter, it was so funny! Then they gave it back to me.
We got our donuts, and while we were eating them, one of the staff gave us two free donuts.

Don't get the wrong idea, they gave them 'cause the sign was lit up, not cuz they liked my sword so much. But who knows...

SO after we ate, we were walking back to the parking, and my dad stopped for a bit. He asked me, "What if Cloud were to sit on that blue bench?" I LOL'd, and he took a pic of me sitting on the said bench.

Then we went home, the end.

So yeah, I pretty much had fun xD Too bad ~ninjahkeewy couldn't come... Oh well, hope she enjoyed her party!
